--Silver Sneakers Senior Fitness--
Have fun and move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of movement and activities for daily living. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers ball are offered for resistance. A chair is available if needed for seated or standing support.
--Cardio Fit--
Designed for active adults who desire a low impact cardio workout. This class includes aerobic choreography for cardiovascular endurance, strength training with hand weights & elastic tubing and floor work for core (abdominals and lower back) conditioning. Also includes flexibility and stretching exercises to maintain range of movement and activities of daily living.
--Silver Sneakers BOOM Move--
A 30 minute higher intensity dance workout class that improves cardio endurance and burns calories. MOVE is all about breaking a sweat and having fun. The class focuses on cardio endurance by starting with simple dance moves then building into more complex sequences, bringing you a great cardio workout.
--Interval (HIIT)--
Get ready to push yourself to your limit for short bursts of time. Interval training takes a participant through a series of cardio and strength training exercises with relatively brief rest intervals. Each interval will provide new challenges to help you improve your functionality, strength, and endurance. Interval training is a great way to ramp up your typical cardio workout and increase metabolism.
--MMM (Muscle, Movement, & More--
This total body conditioning class incorporates dumbbells, barbells, and other resistance equipment as well as body weight to build muscle and increase muscular strength and endurance. All cardiovascular training is low impact (no jumping!) with options to take it higher, if desired. Intensity is moderate to high, with options, as well (note that INTENSITY is not the same as IMPACT). Class includes 20 minutes of mat Pilates-based core training and stretch. This class is suitable for all fitness levels and especially those looking for a low-impact but still challenging workout that doesn't incorporate jumping/high impact movements and is easy on the joints. That means no burpees (but you might see a low-impact/walk-out version occasionally)!
--Barre Fusion--
Barre Fusion is a 45 minute workout that blends elements from different exercise styles including ballet, Pilates, and yoga. This workout is designed to increase your cardiovascular strength while helping you to tone, sculpt, and lengthen your muscles from head to toe.
